Day 1: Luang Namtha - Ban Don Sai Village - Khmu forest camp

Meet at your hotel at 8:00 am and drive north into the Nam Ha Protected Area. After short transfer we reach Don Sai Village where we meet our village guide and start trekking into jungle following hunting trails of the locals. Along the trails the village guide would help us to learn about plants and animals. Picnic lunch is served on the trail. At the Khmu forest camp our village guide and villagers will show us how to collect wild vegetables for dinner. We cook dinner over an open fire with Khmu hosts. After dinner we could go for wildlife spotting with the village guide. Overnight at the forest camp.

Day 2: Khmu forest camp - Akha forest camp

We wake up early for bird watching if you wish. We could help villagers to cook traditional Khmu breakfast. After breakfast we head to Akha forest camp through the Nam Ha jungle. The village guide will go ahead of us to prepare a picnic lunch for us in the forest.

In the afternoon we reach our forest camp at a Akha village. We would cook and have dinner with the village guide. Tonight we have another opportunity to go for wildlife spotting.

Day 3: Akha forest camp - Ban Na Hom Village - Luang Namtha

We get up early before breakfast to go to the hunting site where our Akha guide would show us how he calls wild birds in. If we really want to see the birds, we have to act like a hunter. We return to the camp to enjoy an Akha late breakfast prepared by our Akha guide. After breakfast, we start trekking through jungle until lunch time at a view point where we have a panoramic view of Luang Namtha town.

After lunch, we continue to Ban Nam Mat of Akha village passing rice fields. The tour finish when we reach Luang Namtha.
